elizabeth + michael = engaged

ok, so the ONLY day over the christmas holidays that i could meet up with elizabeth & michael (who are living/working in midland and colorado, respectively) the weather was terrible! elizabeth called while i was on my way to where we were going to meet – “soooo, it’s raining, ” she says. i told her to meet me any way – we would find a way to make it work! so, where do you go in midland when the weather is majorly craptastic? the midland reporter telegram – duh. 🙂 the huge bins of newspapers were an added bonus to the big, covered doorway we discovered. we only were able to shoot for about 25 minutes, but with how incredibly smitten elizabeth & michael are, it was SUPER easy to capture so many great moments. here are a few of my favorites. congratulations, liz & michael! i can’t wait for your wedding in june. oxo

sarah + ty = engaged

sarah & ty met at baylor where ty played football for the bears. after their june wedding they will be moving to seattle for ty’s job with boeing — so i am very happy to have them in fort worth for at least a little while! sarah and ty are the perfect example of a couple who compliment each other in every way. ty said himself, “i get sarah to look at things a little more objectively and she helps me see the world with optimism and softness.” i love love. congratulations, you two!

amy + greg = engaged

i’ve known amy for as long as i can remember. amy is such a sweet person with a very calm, warm spirit. we also share the same middle name (claire) wich makes her extra awesome in my book. 🙂 greg grew up in midland, too, but amy & greg didn’t meet until they were freshman at texas tech.

amy & greg are so easy to be around – i loved getting to catch up on their lives and hear about their story.

congrats, amy & greg! i am so grateful to know you both. oxo

madison + zach = married.

madison & zach have been married a few months now. their wedding day was so amazing. lots of tears and lots of laughter.

madison and her mom cindi, (pink party girl) work so hard to get everything together for the big day – and all of that work definitely paid off! there were so many personal details.

thank you to kate (kate love photography) for all of your wonderful help. congrats, madison & zach. i hope you enjoy your first christmas as mr. & mrs. luikens!
